ART CONSTRUCTIONS

Hello.
I am Athanasios Liarokapis and I work as an interior designer since 1992.
I love doing art and I like to create original and unique handmade works in addition to my main profession which is designing and studying interiors spaces.

I am occupying with the art and the handmade since young age.

From the past I liked to collect materials such as cables, old accessories, wood, lamps, crystals and more, looking for ideas and ways to reuse them.

​

I was trying to combine them to give a new aspect, a new meaning of being to make them useful again. I have always been fascinated by the experimentation of creating something new, something unexpected that can find its place in one's everyday life.

​

My creations and mostly the latest ones : the wood wall painted mosaics includes a part of my soul in them and require a lot of effort for their realization.

​

Through their innovative visual composition, they offer a three-dimensional sense of the subject they depict.

They offer a different visual sense depending on the angle from which one observes them.

​

They combine the modern aesthetic but also the timeless warmth of wood, while they contribute to giving (and with sound diffusion properties), a unique aesthetic value, to spaces, for unique people as well.
